Effectiveness of Cancer Immunotherapy

Cancer immunotherapy is a safe and effective method in cancer treatment. This section includes a list of case studies which proved the efficiency of the cancer immunotherapy.

Diagnosis: Metastatic breast cancer

Treatment duration: 10 months

Survival: Over 7 years

The image on top is the PET-CT Scan taken before the immunotherapy.

This image shows positive uptake in the sternum and mediastinal lymph node. Before treatment, metastasis has been spread to sternum and mediastinal lymph node.

The image on the bottom is the PET-CT scan take 10 months after the immunotherapy.

The image shows positive response to the treatment. The CTL cells were elicited by the DC cells transfected by AAV/BA46 and AAV/Her-2 virus. This patient has survived for more than 7 years.

Case 2: Advanced metastatic breast cancer patient

Diagnosis: Metastatic breast cancer

Treatment duration: 4 months

Survival: Over 6 years

A metastatic breast cancer case with immunotherapy using CTL cells elicited by AAV/Her2-neu, AAV/CEA and AAV/BA46 virus transfected DC cells.

Before treatment, metastasis has been spread to vertebral column and the patent was suffering from severe pain.

After the transfection of DC cells by AAV-BA46, AAV-CEA and AAV-Her2, the BA46-CTL, CEA-CTL and Her2-CTL specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes were produced by in vitro elicitation of T lymphocytes. With the treatment for 4 months, the metastatic lesion in the vertebral column reduced in size noticeably and pain was obviously relieved.

Case 3: ACTL immunotherapy for lung cancer (adeocarcinoma)

Diagnosis: Lung cancer (adenocarcinoma)

Treatment duration: 2 years

Survival: 5 years

This patient continuously received the cancer immunotherapy for two years, the treatment plan changed several times in accordance with his condition.

The second image was taken recently, it is much clearer than the first one which was taken years ago. The second image proved  immunotherapy’s effectiveness in this case.

Case 4: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) with brain metastasis

Diagnosis: Small cell lung cancer with brain metastasis

Treatment duration: 2 months

Survival: 4 years

This patient received cancer immunotherapy for two months. As shown in the second image, the tumor cells were gone after two months of treatment.

Case 5: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) with brain metastasis

Diagnosis: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) with brain metastasis

Treatment duration: 2 months

Survival: 5 years

This is another patient with small cell lung cancer with brain metastasis. He received treatment for two months, and the improvement was obvious.
