Prof. Fan is a well-known gastroenterologist in the region, his involvement made it successful in many treatments of gastrointestinal cancer cases.

Over 30 publications of his were published in Chinese and international journals including Lancet Oncology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

In addition, Prof. Fan has other roles such as
